╚════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝
We are proud to announce that this issue starts our second year of
publication. I would like to thank all the SYSOPS and those who have
read the magazine over the past twelve months. Without BBS support
we would not be able to bring you this magazine. Today, July 2, is the
same date that I released the first issue.
We surpassed 100 BBSs that carry CTM a few months ago. Since we
started we have had articles reprinted in several formats. Our
current endeavor is with Mark Shapiro. Mark produces a newletter
called BABBA (Bay Area Bulliten Board Advisor). It runs about 40
pages and has articles and information geared toward the hobbyist.
CTM, is also geared toward the novice, which makes a perfect match.
This month's issue is a few days late. I held back on the release in
order to bring you the latest from PC Expo. Expo was held in NYC
from June 29-July 1. The first issue of CTM carried some events of
Expo '92.
In addition to the article on Expo, we have our usual reviews. This
month we look at hardware, software and even two books. In hardware
we have: ScanMan 256 and Diamond Video cards and motherboard. In
software we have: SuperBase 2, Norton Desktop for Windows, Energizer
Bunny and a new Carmen Sandiego game. We also take a head to head
look at HiJaak and Freeze Frame. The books are two interesting, and
amusing, books for Windows users. On the CD-ROM front we have:
Encarta, Library of the Future, and Whoop It Up (ShareWare).
I know you are anxious to get started. I will step aside now. We
foresee the next year at CTM to be even better than the last one.
Until next month...
Tony Curro
